BARBOOKS

As most of you know, on December 14, 2009, the SSFP Executive Committee sent a letter to the publications department informing it of the section’s intent to make a bulk purchase of BarBooks licenses and directing Rod Wegener to make payment from the SSFP section account. The purpose of the bulk purchase was to make BarBooks more affordable to sole and small firm practitioners.

Currently, large firms, corporate legal departments, district attorney offices, city and state government offices and office shares with between 100 and 150 lawyers pay an annual BarBooks license fee of approximately $33.00 per lawyer. Firms below the 100 lawyer threshold, pay incrementally increasing amounts for BarBooks licenses. Sole practitioners pay $395.00 per year.
